Das Paket ext2resize, wo ext2online drin ist, existiert nurnoch wegen ext2prepare, welches ebenfalls im Paket ext2resize ist. ext2prepare ist sehr komplex und wurde vom Paket-Betreuer von e2fsprogs einfach noch nicht adaptiert. Hinweis: ext2prepare ist nicht notwendig wenn man beim Erstellen einer Partition schon die resize Option mitgibt. Somit ist wohl resize2fs das Programm der Wahl fürs online resizing.
