Geh mal in das Verzeichnis wo du die Bibliothek hininstalliert hast und
schau mal, ob auch alle Symlinks da sind. Als naechstes schaust du, ob
dieses Verzeichnis dem Linker bekannt ist (wie war das noch bei Linux, da
gab es doch eine Datei /etc/ld.so.conf oder so aehnlich). Falls das immer
noch nicht hilft: Es ist bei vielen Programm-Paketen inzwischen ueblich
ein kleines Zusatzprogramm namens <programmpaket>-config (z.B. gtk-config)
mit auszuliefern, ueber dieses sind spaeter die Configure-time-Einstellungen
zugaenglich. Vielleicht gibt es dieses bei xinelib ja auch und du hast
eine aeltere Version davon irgendwo frueher in deinem Pfad als die neuere.
Vielleicht hilft dir aber auch nur ein neuerlicher Aufruf von ldconfig.
