hallo,
ich habe momentan einen server mit 4 IDE UDMA 100 platten an zwei PROMISE
100 PCI controllern haengen. Benutze dafuer ein soft raid level 5 des
kernels 2.2..19. fs ist ext2. die performance ist nicht berauschend.
hat jemand erfahrungen mit dem soft-raid code von 2.4.10 > 2.4.14 und dem
RAID level 5 ?
mit level 5 und 2.2.19 ist es nicht moeglich, die partitionen mit reiserfs
zu formatieren (selbst probiert)

can I use ReiserFS with 3ware RAID?
Yes, but you need to use Linux 2.2.19 or later for reasons other than
ReiserFS. Also if you should encounter problems you should be suspicious
that it might not be ReiserFS that has the bug. In particular 3ware RAID
users (especially if they have had run with a degraded RAID5 array) need

Hat jemand sowas mal auf einem 2.4 code ausprobiert. Mittlerweile kann man
sich zwischen xfs, ext3 und reisfs entscheiden, any hints?
Ach so quota support und nfs waere auch noch noetig....
